Oxi Courage Award Winners Unite in Ukraine

WASHINGTON, DC, February 20, 2023 — The Washington Oxi Day Foundation salutes the continued courage of Oxi Courage Award recipients US President Joe Biden (2016) and Ukraine President Volodymyr Zelenskyy (2022) who were united in Ukraine today.

President Biden said today of Zelenskyy:

“Mr. President, you remind the world every single day what the meaning of the word courage is…You remind us that freedom is priceless.  It’s worth fighting for, for as long as it takes.  And that’s how long we are going to be with you, Mr. President.  For as long as it takes.”

Zelenskyy added President Biden’s name on a plaque in the ‘Alley of Courage‘ located in the Constitution Square of Kyiv and referred to President Biden’s visit as “Historic. Timely.  Brave.”
