Each year, The Washington OXI Day Foundation convenes over 200 leaders in the US government and private sector, Ambassadors, and thought leaders on the world stage at the OXI Awards and Celebration to honor global leaders who exhibit “OXI-like” courage by fighting to preserve and promote freedom and justice, at great personal sacrifice.
The celebration centers around a black-tie gala and awards presentation. It is preceded by a ceremony recognizing outstanding Greek American service members, and followed the next morning by a solemn Wreath Laying ceremony at the famous Tomb of the Unknown Soldier in Arlington National Cemetery.
